CIRCO LUMIERE -COCOTE, ÓPERA PRIMA
The magical world of the circus inside a suitcase. Juggling, acrobatics, magic, illusion, and plenty of humor are the ingredients of this show. Perfect for the whole family, regardless of age, this show uses the language of the circus as a tool to bring the audience together in an extraordinary experience. "...children rediscover the joy of entertainment, and adults can become children again..."
A contemporary circus piece that explores identity through the body and imbalance.
Cocote is the debut work of a young circus artist who brings to the stage an intimate, physical, and poetic investigation into the body, risk, and origins. In this solo performance, the protagonist moves between precarious balances, symbolic objects, and gestures that reveal an inner quest. The work combines acrobatics, object manipulation, voice-over, short choreographies, and silences laden with meaning.
Cocote was built from personal experiences and circus techniques that engage with fragility, humor, and resilience. The result is an honest stage piece with a non-linear narrative where movement becomes an emotional language.
